Whaka 100 Categories
 
• Sprockets (Under 16)
Designed for young male and female riders just getting into the sport. Competitors in this category will only be able to do the short course distances at this event.

• Junior (16-18)
You need to be under the age of 18 years old on the Friday prior to each race day. Ride the distance that suits you best.

•Open (19-99)
This highly competitive category is open to everyone - if you want to challenge yourself then feel free to enter open.

• Masters (35-44)
For those getting to grips with the thirties and wanting to leave the young guys to battle it out.

• Veteran (45-54)
Time to show everyone how it’s done - enter this category but show the grommets how quick you really are.

• Classics (55+)
Been there, done that - time to let the youngsters battle it out amongst themselves. Time to compete with people of your own age.

• Clydesdales
No age groups, only one race for all who wish to give it a go. In this category you must complete the long course, yes the 100km and also weigh a minimum 90kg.

• Single Speed
No age groups, only one race for all who wish to give it a go. In this category you must complete the long course, yes the 100km.

• Teams
One class only, no age groups or mixed categories. The teams category is for the 100km course only, split into two legs being 60km and 40km.

Please Note: The organisers must receive a minimum of 10 entries in any one category before the category will become active, otherwise competitors will be placed in the next closest relevant category except for Clydesdales.
